The Future of Work Spaces is all About Experiences

A successful post-pandemic workspace has to balance the needs of many people who want to work from different spaces. It’s not going to be easy to make it work, but the solution involves human-centered design thinking and technology. And it will be up to us—AV, UCC and digital signage technologists and designers to figure it out.

Gary Kayye’s Official E4 Experience Live Show Floor Tour

We’re bringing back the live show floor tours with Gary Kayye during both E4 Experience stops this fall. Armed with a Listen Tech ListenTALK system headset and mic, every participant is guided by Gary through the E4 Experience as he points out both products he mentioned in his morning keynote as well as new technology. During the tour, he will show products and solutions that will likely change the future of ProAV, UCC, and digital signage. And, since each participant will be wearing a ListenTALK headset, they’ll all be able to engage in a two-way dialog with Gary asking questions, challenging his predictions and gain insights into the product or tech. This tour is limited to 25 participants.

Installation Issues for Converged AVIT Systems

Installation Issues for Converged AVIT Systems The success of a converged AV/IT system is dependent on a properly installed and tested structured cabling system. As more and more audiovisual integrators are offering IT infrastructure installation to their clients, it is mandatory that they have an understanding of the hardware and test procedures required. This seminar explores the hardware and installation equipment necessary to install and terminate UTP cabling, including punch blocks on patchbays and wallplates, and RJ-45 connectors on cabling. Structured cable installation issues such as cable pathways, signal interference, and distance limitations are covered. Finally, test parameters and equipment including cabling verification testing and network certification testing are demonstrated.

Conducting a needs analysis

If you don’t understand what the client is trying to do, the design may not be the right one. Forget the equipment and ask about the process. We’ll look at the proper way to approach an audiovisual project.

PANEL DISCUSSION

NSCA Roundtable Discussion

Integrators are in no mood to tiptoe around the business challenges they face while preparing for 2023. They’ve already battled through a pandemic and continue to fight through a battered economy. During this E4 Experience discussion led by NSCA, integrators and manufacturers speak frankly about integration industry obstacles. Topics include:

  • The critical ways in which integrators need to pivot to remain relevant to their customers’ evolving needs
  • Implementing the right risk mitigation strategies amid supply chain challenges
  • Contending with escalating labor costs and maintaining profitability on projects
  • Taking ownership of talent challenges and rethinking recruitment strategies

NSCA executive director Tom LeBlanc, Sony’s Rich Ventura, and Red Thread’s John Mitton lead a direct conversation about these issues. The goal is to position integrators for sustained success in 2023.
